Module 1

Talking in the Present

There are two ways to speak in the present tense in Spanish. After this module, you will understand both ways to speak in the present in Spanish and be able to practice them throughout the course. You will also learn the situations in which you should use ser vs. estar in Spanish.

Module 2

Talking in the Past

There are two ways to speak in the past in Spanish, and after just a couple of weeks into the course, we will already be working on speaking in the past in Spanish! I was always frustrated in traditional Spanish classes because it seemed like we would spend an eternity  learning the present tense and only begin speaking in the past after months. That's not practical!

Module 3

Verbs like "Gustar"

Have you every felt confused by verb phrases like "me gusta" or 
me cae bien", etc.? It is important to be able to use verbs like "gustar" and understand why they are the way they are.

Module 4

Talking in the Future and Conditional Tense

Speaking in the future tense in Spanish is not very difficult, even thought here are two ways to do it. Because of this, we will also be learning the conditional tense, which is another tense that is fairly easy to understand.

Module 5

Haber (Auxiliary Verbs)

Auxiliary verbs can seem complicated, but with the proper guidance and explanation, they can actually be very easy to comprehend and use.

Subjunctive and "se"

The subjunctive tense was probably the most difficult part of Spanish for me to learn, which is why it is the last module, and rightly so. It wasn't hard to learn because of the actual language, but rather because I did not have anyone guiding me and telling me when and when not to use it. Once I figured out the subjunctive tense, I realized how easy it actually could have been to learn! This applies to the word "se" as well!
